Molly Shannon Steps Into Promises, Promises

Saturday Night Live alum Molly Shannon begins performances as Marge MacDougall in the Broadway production of Promises, Promises. Shannon replaces Tony Award winner Katie Finneran, who plays her final performance on October 10.

Shannon is best known for her six seasons onSaturday Night Live, and her array of eclectic characters including Mary Katherine Gallagher and Sally O'Malley, as well as her parodies of Courtney Love, Liza Minnelli, Monica Lewinsky and Meredith Vieira. She was also seen last season on TV's Glee. Her many film credits includeSuperstar, Marie Antoinette, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, Scary Movie 4, Never Been Kissed, Serendipity, Wet Hot American Summerand Osmosis Jones.
